Community + Connection
As I reflect back on my professional creations, I feel like this year has shown me how important making time for community and connection truly is. I knew this already, but sometimes it felt like there was too much going on to really embrace it.
Because of this realization, I have decided to focus my attention in a few different ways. I am going to take a break from international retreats … just for 2020. I’m taking everything one step at a time, and I think stepping away from the international retreat planning will provide me space to do more for my community. Not forever, just for a year … and I’m excited to see what I can do with this extra time!
Something I am really passionate about is holding space for educational and experiential events. To truly grow we need to learn and be able to implement the things we learn into our day-to-day lives. I am hoping to bring my love for philosophy, subtle body, and meditation into a more accessible light for my students. I plan to do this in the way of local retreats, workshops, events, community gatherings at different studios and outdoor spaces, and finally: with a live online course!
Experiencing the Subtle Side of Yoga is a piece of my very excited and fulfilled heart. This 8-week interactive online course will gather a group of students to meet on Zoom every Wednesday evening from 6-7:30pm to enjoy a short lecture/group discussion on a certain topic, to experience a guided meditation tapping into the topic internally, and assignments to complete throughout the week to make sense of the topic within YOU and implement meditation into your day-to-day life. Topics will include (but not limited to): Chakras, Koshas, Mudras, Mantras, Elements, Pranayama.
I have spent years studying, researching, implementing, creating, and BEING in the yoga space, and have pulled together my most inspired and life changing mindfulness experiences into this container. Yes, I will offer my knowledge and give you tools and information to feel into your deepest layers…but I expect that those who join me will be ready to put in the effort to ask questions, to acknowledge that the homework is for their own growth and development, and to be kind and loving and constructive within the group to HELP EACH OTHER grow as well. We are all in this life together, and I’m excited to help facilitate these ancient teachings to students and teachers alike.
I could talk about this all day, but rather I will save the rest of my excited speech for those who are feeling called to study with me in this way. Email me for the full schedule, what’s included in our time together, and how we can work together ◡̈.
I’m excited and humbled to be of service, Namaste <3.
